Lets go back in time though.
Today we saw Dr Elias for my upcoming cranioplasty! I get to have my skull put back on!!!
He said this is considered a cosmetic surgery. So insurance may or may not cover it.
I definitely want this done! I don't want to go around wearing a helmet for the rest of my life! PLUS...I want to protect my brain!
We went over the different risks and that he will put a tap on my brain to measure my ICP (intracranial pressure) levels and make sure they are good.
After Dr Elias I went to the anesthesia team to go over what medications I had to stay off of. At this time I was still taking Eloquis for my blood clots. So I have to stop taking it up to a week before surgery.
Next up....SURGERY!!
