John 16:33 states that in this life we will struggle. But take heart! I (God) have overcome the world.
I wholeheartedly believe that! He is making a great change in me and so many are commenting on my improvements! They compliment me on how I’m more easily mobile than before. That I speak clearer and still have some spunk to me!
Behold! The magical liquid that keeps my eyes fr drying up! I put some drops in my eyes in the morning, and then in the afternoon. My lobster (husband - it’s a ‘Friends’ thing) puts lubricating eye ointment in my eyes at night! He so graciously does it because….well… I have double vision and horizontal gaze palsy. I don’t think it’s very wise for me to try and approach my eyeballs with ointment.
Now the real question…WHY do I have to put these lubricating drops in my eyes?!
You see… since my accident I have not been able to close my eyes. So when I blink, you see me rolling my eyes and when I close my eyes…you see the white parts of my eyes.
Yes I did have surgery to get a weight put into my eyelid that was no where near closing and I’ve had my eyelids sewn together a third of the way to help close them. But they still don’t close. Now they are much closer to closing than before! And I’m just waiting for him to tell me that he wants to do the other eye…mark my words!
We do the drops to prevent my eyes from drying out, getting damaged, and possibly going blind.
Just another lovely thing to do! But I take it on every single day and praise Jesus while I do it.
