What a beautiful day!
Sun is shining, light breeze blowing, easily in the 70s at this point.
My husband left to pick up kids and my other kids were playing legos in the play area.
There was a lovely knock at the front door and I opened it and smiled with my crooked paralyzed face. My beautiful supporter was standing there in a sun dress and her hair curled in flowy ringlets.
Are you ready? She asked politely.
Of course!
She then gifted me a comic that she said she thought of me when she saw it. The comic is pictured below:

We chatted a bit and waited for the rest of the crew to arrive. I showed them the finished areas of the house and they LOVED our theater room!
The crew asked nicely if they could move my furniture around. Of course you can! They ran wires, set up the camera, set up some super bright lights and positioned me in a chair.
They explained all that would go on. They clapped twice and told us to go.
Questions were asked and I responded so truthfully. Well, with what my brain could process at least!
The first question was asked of HOW I obtained my brain injury.
I simply fell.
Goodness how embarrassing is that?!
I fell and fractured my skull and spine and face.
My brain was hemorrhaging and swelling badly. They had to remove my top skull pieces. I was in a coma and had three strokes.
A month and a half later, I fully came to and I was bald, mortified, and hooked up to machines!
I will never forget that.
I was thankful to be able to speak about what has happened and how it greatly affected my family.
The crew had finished up the questions and put everything away. They packed up faster than they set up! I was impressed. They put my furniture back exactly how it was and it was like no one was ever even in that room.
I will post the video once it's available!
I hope to be a safe place for others to land when they are questioning what is going on with their brains.
I hope others who are also young (I was 34 when this happened) can come to me for understanding.
But I truly don't wish this on anyone. I wish this never happened. My life has changed so much and not necessarily for the better. So many bad things continue to come out of this.
Through it all I have remained positive. Even when the devil is trying to kick my door down.
Be positive. You WILL get through this stormy season.
