I will start you off with, what I think, is a sweet photo of Ryker and I many moons ago.

To bring you up to speed and welcome you into my daily life now, I have severe traumatic brain injury, three strokes, and really that's the really short version of what I have!

With my facial paralysis, I have to lift the left side of my mouth in order to drink. If I don't, there will be some major spillage.

When I do go out into public, I have to have someone walk in front of me so I can keep an eye on them and see if they raise, dip, or trip. That way I know if there are any obstacles in front of me.

With my eyes, I need to wear sunglasses or glasses of some kind. If the wind hits my eyes, it hurts so bad I have to close them and if the sun hits my eyes, it is so glaring I have to do the same thing!

I constantly have to think about the things I do every day. I have to think about walking - about keeping my posture so I don't fall - I have to think about eating, about talking. It makes my brain so tired to where I absolutely have to take a nap every single day.

And not every day, but a few times a week - I have a form of counseling. I have personal counseling, TBI counseling, stroke recovery counseling, and Pastoral counseling.

“Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.”

‭‭Romans‬ ‭5‬:‭3‬-‭5‬ ‭NIV‬‬
