Today were exams upon exams. It was figured out today that I would need to see the neurological team because I had a traumatic subarachnoid hemorrhage, left sided skull fractures, and a right frontal brain contusion.

My active issues have been identified as traumatic brain injury, cardiology so they can repeat the TTE within three months and the team is supposed to reach back out to cardiology if my hemodynamics improve so they can initiate GDMT for Leukocytosis and fevering, pleural effusions/pneumonia consistent with MSSA/lactobacillus infection.

The principal reason for my hospital admission is altered mental status required intubation.

The active issues the doctors are seeing that need continued care are left frontal, parietal, and skull base fractures. Subarachnoid Hemorrhage s/p bifrontal decompress replacement of LF EVD, Cerebral Edema, Bifrontal cerebral contusions, seizures upon presentation, and hypotension.

Now clap your hands and give a hallelujah for the things they fixed that are worth celebrating! Migraines, Troponemia (high levels of troponin in the heart), Cardiogenic shock, Hypotension, Midventricular Takotsubo cardiomyopathy, and Thrombocytopenia (low platelet level)!!

With exams, breathing sounds were checked. Tachycardia (fast heart rate) was present. Wheezing was apparent. Decreased breath sounds were noted. Rales (heart failure) was present and also noted with this exam. What was decided and noted were the following: PERRL (emergency medication, eye opening to command, nods and moves digits of BUE and BLE to command.

My beautiful session in PT was that I did not nod to questions in this specific session. My eyes were closed most of this session with a brief partial opening to stimulation. I am more lethargic in this session versus prior sessions. I followed a few simple commands weakly, with delay and with required repetition. Overall, my vision was impaired tracking with random up gazes. I had low tone throughout my entire body with the exception of my hip adductors. Within my neck I am able to do a 30-degree rotation. When I am more alert, I isolate my movements in muscle groups within my limbs but with no activity in my left bicep. Today I had a shorter than normal session because lethargy interfered with good participation. It is suggested that lethargy is present due to being weaned off of the vent. (Which is a good thing!!)

Today, I had been given my awesome helmet that my boys decorated with stickers of "I Love You" and sloths!

When going through all of this to see I was battling some heart failure, I know God was with me. He never left me throughout this process! And I was blessed with a beautiful meet and greet with Jesus <3 Most people would not want to go through this at all, especially if they know the aftereffects and support. To be honest, I wouldn't either! But given that I have, and I met Jesus and clung to him, oh boy I am here! I am living this process and going through it all, even the bad stuff.

He will rob your rest

Steal your happiness"
