This was a brief time and yet so much has happened! I had left skull fractures and right frontal parietal contusion. Every day they hook me up onto an EEG to try and capture a seizure. I had a couple of seizures at RMH, which was the first hospital I went to.
I had a left femoral artery catheter placed. It was blessed at first with a brisk flow of blood and it was placed using an ultrasound. After some time it was not working as well so they switched arteries. They ended up going with the right femoral artery by using an 18 gauge needle.
On this day in particular they did an EKG as well. Which they did not find anything alarming. I was still sedated and weaned off of fentanyl.
They spoke with my family and husband and spoke of the plan of care for me.
