Be Still My Heart

This blog post is also going to be different and off the cuff as it happened yesterday!

I am in a Brain Injury support group in Harrisonburg. We meet together once a month and do different things. Yesterday we met at a camp in Linville, called "Still Meadows." They are a camp for those with disabilities.

My mother-in-love, who usually takes me to my events, took me yesterday's! She is extremely supportive and loving and I'm so lucky to have her!

Once we got to the center, we all enjoyed subs that were catered to us! Even our caregivers were provided excellent subs! I learned that I could get a disability pass for the National Forests, and I will apply very soon.

Now back to this center...after subs we took a look at their amazing little critters. I was able to pet their horse, bunnies, donkeys, and llama! The adorable llama took a little nibble at my fingers, which tickled! The lead lady of the center took out one of her horses, Cash, and let us pet him. His nose is the softest part of his body, I learned, and he is the gentlest horse I've been around!

After we got to see the animals and spend some time with them, we took a little trek down the hill to see their treehouse! Which this awesome treehouse is accessible! So, a man in our group, who is in a wheelchair, was able to take part in the goodness!

Now this treehouse was designed by the Treehouse Guys, and they were even on the DIY network! They have designed a treehouse in every single US state, and they have even been to different countries.

Now there are some local guys who have volunteered their time and supplies to building this treehouse. For the life of me I can't remember the second company. But the main company is Lantz in Harrisonburg!

After we appreciated all the goodness of this amazing camp, we were on the drive home and came up to a house with so many buggies! We enjoyed the view from far away. I hope you enjoy it, too!

At the end of all this goodness, I pray peace, protection, guidance, and ongoing support of the Enrichment Center. I pray peace, support, and discernment for my amazing group of people. We all experience challenges, but my prayer is that we overcome them with goodness!

Remember this month I am raising money for my Brain Injury support group! Feel free to send your donation to my Venmo @JLynn-Damico and I will write up a blog post at the end of the month, so you are all aware of what we raised! Your donations are so helpful and HELP us go on amazing adventures together and be such shining rays of light to each other!
