...melodies they carry with them.

I really don't know why, but I have this song STUCK in my head!

I don't even know how I KNOW it.

I google searched this and it came up with...

RIGOLETTO!!!

But I don't know what version of it I know or am familiar with. So, I'll share three photos with you.

So, which one do you think I know?

I'm honestly not sure, but this song has been stuck in my head and I can hear a girl singing it.

It's odd to me what the brain will remember at random times.

Let's talk OT, shall we? I have a different girl today and I am pretty sure this is the session where Listerine talks about me throwing blocks across the room. I'm not even sure a person would notate that! But that would be awesome if they did!!

This OT lady noted that I was sitting in my bed when she entered the room. My caregiver was with me, and I lightly verbalized and used gestures that I had already been washed and dressed for the day. She got me to the edge of the bed and my caregiver (she never said who) helped me with my shoes a little while I crossed my legs.

We did some reaching exercises and she noted that I did a lot better than previously noted sessions. I rode on an electric bicycle today and fared well doing so!

In PT today I needed many rest breaks once again! I am sticking with only using ONE handrail and not both of them. I was in the Andago and Vector today with 10 pounds of total weight lifted off of me. In the past it has been 20 pounds. But since the decrease, they have noticed that I tolerate it well and am able to go a longer distance.

For my therapeutic exercise today, we played hover soccer and I painted! I only needed assistance when I picked colors to dip the brush in.

When my nurse came to check on me today, she noted that I was a lot more vocal today. They are going to start capping my trach today with the respiratory team. It's about time I can do without a machine!!

My last thing... dysphagia evaluation. This determines whether or not I can eat food! At this moment, I have the PEG tube and that is the only way I get food/drinks. I have severe dysphagia. Which means I cannot swallow. So that is what we have been practicing so I can try and eat again. We had thin liquids and purees for me to try and I fed myself well! I also tried taking in more liquid and small bite size pieces. I spilled out of my mouth before I could even swallow! I cannot purse my lips and I can only open my mouth about 10mm. I even have to THINK about swallowing. Even now, I have to think about it and push up the left side of my mouth so I can purse my lips and take drinks. Today, during this session, I have officially been upgraded to thin liquids and purees!!!! They still have to give me some foods in my PEG and my ProSource to make sure I get my proper nutrients.

Overall, today was a good day!
