When I think of how my life should be, I dream of a land where I'm okay. Well,,,I guess more than okay! It's a land where I can dig my toes deep into the sands of more than okay. A place where I am GREAT! Where nothing is wrong, everything is great, and all of my relationships are 100%.
But, this land doesn't exist for me. Nothing is normal. Everything is out of whack, and I'm tossed aside. This is NOT okay. I have people I loved talk badly about me and they are okay with this. But I am not, and I am assuming that our Father is not happy either. It really makes you think. Was growing up a sham? What was REAL? I don't know honestly.
But back to my dream land. I want to stay here ALWAYS. Peace is the big poofy clouds! Goodness blooms on the trees. There is that hippy feel to life. Family is around and BIG and personalities are so good. Grumpiness only exists sometimes to keep things interesting. I want to live here. In normal. In goodness. In PEACE.
We, as humans, work our bones to make sure our outcome is how we want it to be. We praise God when our normal is what we think it should be. And we question God when it doesn't turn out how we think.
In our season of suffering, those who stick by us through thick and thin have completed their heavenly assignment. Those who have shunned us during our season of pain will regret their actions and in time will apologize. They will never treat anyone like that again.
As humans, we cannot make the outcome to be how we want it or how we think it should be. We can't make the hurt from others hurry up. It may never come to fruition. That is God's plan! You need to follow Him, trust Him, and stay faithful to Him. When you are on the struggle bus, you cannot grab the wheel and turn it back to normal.
This isn't how I pictured my life. And my thoughts... you didn't expect this turnout for your life either.
It's all okay. It will actually be better than okay! "We will be victorious because Jesus is victorious." (1 Corinthians 15:57). And victorious people were never meant to be normal.
God is giving your life so much good right now. But maybe the hurt, betrayal, and heartache are so bad right now that it distracts you from the good. I have faith for you. I know that God is writing the perfect story for your life. The bad will pass, but the good is everlasting!
