I’m still foolishly writing with one eye barely present; if mistakes occur, I apologize. They will be fixed later.
Today I had PT. It was amazing!! We started off running, then brush walking, then squatting and doing squat jumps, to stair climbing and whatever else she could fit into an hour.
Our last hour.
She graduated me!! I told her I have a race coming up in a couple of weeks. She gave me an app called, Strava, to download and track my distance. She suggested getting a treadmill and I want to see if I can get a good deal on an elliptical as well.
She gave me a list of exercises to continue doing daily. I’m still a little weak in my calves, so these will definitely help.
In a few months, once I’ve completed my races, I can get into physical therapy again; but go with someone who specializes in sports medicine.
The next day, I was able to attend my support meeting at my awesome church!!! Faith Community Church. They were absolutely welcoming and amazing!
My sweet sister in Christ, Ali, opened with how art is good for the brain and proceeded to tell us to create a piece on the canvas! I sat by a sweet girl, Elsy, and my case manager, Ashley!
I haven’t painted since I was in rehab at Shelterimg Arms Institute!
It was such a great time to unwind and relax with peers. I look forward to our meetings every month.
